Photosynthesis: is a process used by plants and other organisms to convert light energy, normally from the sun, into chemical energy that can be used to fuel the organisms' activities.

I am photosynthesizing.​

I have not grown entirely. I am still blossoming into the flower I am destined to be. Yet, I am still beautiful regardless if I am still a bud waiting to bloom or a fully blossomed flower. According to Asante (1991), to be called Ayanna, is to be called "a beautiful blossom, flower".

 

I am named "Ayanna" for a reason. I have a purpose. I am destined to be a beautiful flower. 

 

As a beautiful flower, my stem will grow from soil that has been diligently watered and nutured from different life experiences, especially during my matriculation through college. 

 

My past experiences and past encounters with people have not only shaped who I am today, but they also are and will be apart of the many tools I will need to create new experiences and achieve all I aspire to do and become. 

 

This portfolio is a display of my photosynthesis, my process of converting light energy into chemical energy. The process of turning what Howard has offered me to create something more of myself to offer the world around me.
